Twinned from https://github.com/cfsh/ninefold/issues/456 by tools/beads/import_github.py's reconcile pass.
From ninefold-reviewer's review of #453 (one screen at a time on a small panel, #439).
#439 flagged this as an open point and asked for a decision rather than a default: "The CONTROLS guide column eats horizontal width that a Deck does not have — decide whether it stays pinned, collapses, or folds into the screen-switch hint."
#453 ships it pinned on both single screens, where it costs ~300px of a 1280-wide panel and, on home, shows two lines ("press" / "play").
A — keep it pinned (recommended default, ships today). Always readable; costs the width.
B — collapse it to the » toggle in one-screen mode. Width back, guide one press away.
C — drop the column in one-screen mode and let the "△ song editor" / "△ notes editor"
hint be the only always-on affordance.
Default ships if unanswered — nothing is blocked on this.
